Jam or Golden Syrup
¼ cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ cup milk
Lightly grease 4 coffee mugs and put a large spoonful of jam or syrup in the base of each.
Melt butter in a bowl, add sugar and egg, beat well.
Beat in milk.
Sift in flour and baking powder and mix well.
Spoon evenly into mugs and microwave on high for 3-4 minutes.
Stand for 1 minute then tip upside down on a plate.
Serve with cream.
